The Benefits of Roll-Up Banner Stands

April 8th, 2008

Banner stands come in various sizes and prices and can be used indoor or outdoors. When purchasing a roll-up banner stand you must keep these considerations in mind. For example, certain outdoor roll-up banner stands have a special base that will withstand weather such as wind that could potentially knock over your banner and cause damage to it. Short stands use a wide triangle base while taller ones are hollow and can be filled with water or sand to make it resistant to the elements. The taller stand is more expensive and not as portable.

Indoor roll-up banner stands are cheaper and feature either one or two sided banners. Some stands are even able to use banners shaped like a bottle. Cheaper, light weight retractable roll-up banner stands cannot accommodate a double-sided roll-up banner. For this, you need a more expensive stand. For those on a budget, a table-top banner stand is useful. They are inexpensive and can hold up to a 12” wide by 24” high roll-up banner. They are also quite inexpensive.

The Popularity of Roll-Up Banners

April 7th, 2008

A trade show and retail graphics firm based in View Valley, Post-Up Stand, Inc. started with one employee in 2004 and has grown to an anticipated 30-35 by the end of 2008. The company produces roll-up banners, tabletop displays, scrolling banners, and other graphic signs for trade shows.

Post-Up Stand started as another business entirely – a printing company that specialized in business cards, letterhead, and fliers. However, their profit margins began to decline and they began looking for a new market and moved into producing banners because they saw it as a growing industry. They found that more new trade shows were taking place and they used banners such as roll-ups.

Aside from trade shows, Post-Up supplies roll-up banners and many other types to stores, hotels, and universities. Recently, they have begun producing outdoor banners for sporting events such as golf tournaments.

Fidelity Bank Uses Roll-Up Banners

April 5th, 2008

In 2005, Fidelity Bank of Nigeria Plc. launched an aggressive campaign by marketing themselves in airports. They rejected traditional media and methods of advertising in favour of promoting themselves on the very popular 1.5 kilometers Onitsha Bridge with two giant billboards on either end.

Their new campaign was particularly heavy on the Sosoliso and Chachangi airlines and the 57 ABC and 70 Chisco transport buses. Fidelity employed roll-up banners at all bus terminals in order to catch the public’s attention. Bus terminals were targeted because research reflected a significant volume of traffic between eastern Nigeria and Lagos and that of Lagos to Abuja.

The use of these banners in these aforementioned locations was praised as being innovative and demonstrated Fidelity’s competitive spirit in the marketplace.
