Advantages of digital printing

August 14th, 2008

Everything seems to be going digital, and the print industry is just the same. Where older printing techniques are great for long runs of identical items, digital printing excels where litho fails.

If you need a small number of leaflets to hand out at an event, or to purchase business cards that wont last you for ever, digital printing is ideal for you. Digital printing allows you to print any quantity you need to reduce any waste both in paper and of course money.

Also, because with digital you can print any quantity you can print different items for individual people. I’ve talked in the past about personalised printing but this really is one of the greatest things that digital can achieve.

Everydayprint are specialist digital printers and can help you achieve the print you want in the quantity you need. Call us on 0845 437 0551 to discuss your requirement.

Personalised printing

One of the major advantages of digital printers over more traditional lithographic technologies is the ability to produce variable data jobs.

Variable data is the ability to use a database and produce completely personalised items of print.  This is similar to a mail merge, but much more powerful.

Variable data allows you to generate, for example, postcards that have an image of a product each customer has purchased and to have an offer completely unique to them.  You can also put their name throughout the piece and have text tailored to their personal circumstances or based on some other piece of information you know about them.

If you are interested in producing variable data fully personalised print then please contact us on 0845 437 0551.

Personalisation of Postcards

May 29th, 2008

Traditionally, postcards have been used as an effective form of direct mail.  The most popular size in the UK is A5 or the smaller A6.

Traditional postcards have been most effective when they focus on one particular product of service sent to the relevant people.

The advent of digital printing has brought us new techniques to improve the effectiveness and response rate of postcards.  Digital printing gives us the ability to print one-off postcards that are completely personalised to the individual customer.

The amount of personalisation on each postcard is up to you and your design studio, but digital printing allows you to create different text, images and even layout for every person in your direct mail list.

Personalised direct mail has a much higher response rate than traditional mail, a fact that companies like Carphone Warehouse and Sainsbury’s have used to their advantage.

If you would like to talk to us about how we can help you create personalised postcard direct mail campaigns, call us on 0845 437 0551.

Personalised direct marketing

May 9th, 2008

Almost three years ago Sainsbury’s launched its award-winning direct marketing campaign.  The campaign was one of the first large scale personalised direct mail campaigns seen in the UK.

Since then Sainsbury’s and companies such as Carphone Warehouse have found that personalised mailings and brochures have given them a far higher return on investment than traditional campaigns ever could.

Digital print technology, such as that used here at everydayprint, allows companies of any size the ability to create personalised marketing campaigns.

Contact everydayprint for more information about how we can help you create a personalised campaign to improve your return on marketing investment.
