The Bureau Chooses Kodak Insite Storefront for one Complete Solution
July 16th, 2008 by JohnThe Bureau of Engraving Inc. in Minneapolis required a versatile Web to print system that could accommodate a mix of customers that need the speed, print quality and short run convenience of digital printing and long runs associated with traditional offset. The Bureau chose the Kodak Insite Storefront system to take them from their traditional sales model to online ordering and job tracking with one complete solution.
The Kodak Insite Storefront system offers everything that printing companies need to support online ordering. It has the capability to handle new orders or reorders of existing material and provides catalogues from which customers can order books and manuals, business identification products, and collateral. The Storefront system can be customized with the company’s corporate branding and a flexible pricing engine; provides several types of online payment options; is localized in 15 languages; and can support 177 currencies in 228 countries.
The Web to file output applications offered by other manufacturers still requires human intervention to print the job. The Bureau was interested in automating all of the steps, from Web to output device. Insite Storefront’s ability to use a Web to print application with the Bureau’s offset presses as well as its digital printing operation made it the right choice.
