You can achieve this by expanding your margins. Many word processing documents have a default template so every time you open a new document, it is formatted in a particular way. Try different setting in your default template to optimize your print area.

ENJOY YOUR PRINTER’S LOW POWER MODE
Most printers automatically go into a low power state after a few minutes of inactivity.

TURN YOUR PRINTER OFF
If you are not using your printer for long periods of time then switch it off. Whilst your printer is standing idle it still uses energy. You’ll be surprised how much energy your printer is using whilst it is just sitting on your desk.
