New HP Printer to be Unveiled at VISCOM Paris
August 25th, 2008 by RyanThe HP Designjet L65500 Printer is the first of a new category of large format signage printers with HP Latex Inks that reduce the impact of printing on the environment. This printer extends HP’s broad portfolio of large, wide, and super-wide format inkjet printers that serves the diverse needs of the creative and printing communities. The printer has generated great interest and demonstrated that HP’s technology is an important part of today’s market.
The HP Designjet L65500 Printer is a thermal inkjet printer that uses odorless HP Latex Inks to produce high quality indoor and outdoor applications on a wide range of substrates, including most low-cost, uncoated, solvent-compatible media. It has no need for special ventilation and produces no hazardous waste in addition to also reducing the total impact on the environment. It also enables wide format printing to be carried out in locations where previously impossible.
The Printheads do not require daily, manual maintenance and are user-replaceable, ensuring maximum production times. The HP Designjet L65500 Printer can print up to 1200 dpi with prints that are scratch, smudge, and water-resistant and offer a performance similar to that of solvent-ink technology. It also expands the range’s supported media to include untreated materials such as offset and screen papers.
