Frank joins the everydayprint team

August 10th, 2006 by everydayprint

Frank Hicklin

Experienced print professional, Frank Hicklin, has joined everydayprint as the company’s new creative and account director.

At 59 years of age and with just about forty years’ experience, there is little that Frank hasn’t seen in design and print and as Jason comments that is what made him such an attractive proposition. He comments: “Frank is a much respected figure in the north-west print industry and I am delighted that he has joined everydayprint.

“It’s a real coup for us because what Frank doesn’t know about the business really isn’t worth knowing. Not only is he a superb conceptual designer and a total professional when it comes to print management, he is also a fantastic people person and that makes him even more important to our business.”

After qualifying as a commercial artist at Bolton College of Art, Frank began his professional career in Manchester with Stowe & Bowden Advertising before moving to Macclesfield’s Stephenson Ward Design consultants two years later. After a similar stint there, he enjoyed a spell with Kersley Studios in Salford, before branching out on his own and teaming up on a freelance consultancy basis with Manchester print mogul, Harry Austin at Hutton Hartley.

In 1972, Frank set up Print Co-Ordination in Macclesfield and built up the first of several successful businesses. Following his departure from the company Frank went on to spend seven years at Harvest Printers before starting Baseline Graphics in Bollington’s Adelphi Mill in November 1986. From there, Frank became one of four partners in Macclesfield company, Filmtech, until the opportunity to help establish everydayprint as a major player in the industry took him to Europa House and a whole new challenge.

Looking forward to his new role, Frank comments: “My career to date has been long and varied but importantly, this represents a totally new challenge for me. My aim is to work with Jason and his team to position this company as one of the most professional and innovative players in the print market.

“everydayprint has its roots in software development and those skills allied to my creative and print management skills make us a formidable team. Knowing the industry as I do, I’m confident that my experience, allied to the technology and skills of the everydayprint team will make us a strong proposition and I’m looking forward to playing my part as the company moves forward.”
