everydayprint brings seasonal cheer to Wooden Spoon charity
September 26th, 2006 by everydayprint
With Christmas fast approaching, everydayprint, has announced that it will donate 10% of all revenue from the sale of its personal and corporate Christmas cards to rugby’s Wooden Spoon charity.
Wooden Spoon supports mentally, physically and socially disadvantaged children across the country and has already raised over £11million for various projects. As managing director, Jason Walker, explains, his company now aims to swell the charity’s coffers even further. He comments: “We’ve been looking at ways of getting involved with Wooden Spoon for some time and with Christmas fast approaching we decided to pass on 10% of all our on-line Christmas card revenue to the Manchester branch so that they can put it to good use in 2007.
“Anybody ordering their Christmas cards from us, either through our website or by supplying us with their own artwork, can request that 10% of the price they pay goes directly to the charity. While we leave it entirely to the individual as to whether or not a donation is made, we hope that the majority of our customers take us up on our proposition as Wooden Spoon does some phenomenal work both regionally and nationally.”
Charlie Womersly, Wooden Spoon chairman in the Manchester and Cheshire region, is delighted that everydayprint has pledged to get involved this way, saying: “We rely on the generosity of many organisations and are always looking for people to support us. Jason and his company are heavily involved with Sale Sharks and we are pleased that their interest in rugby has extended to backing us this way. We hope that the initiative is a great success and that our association can go from strength to strength.”
Anybody wishing to ensure that a proportion of their Christmas card spend goes to Wooden Spoon should visit the everydayprint website at www.everydayprint.co.uk to find out more. As Jason explains, once logged on, the process couldn’t be simpler. “Should anybody wish to create their Christmas cards themselves, they can do so by choosing lay-outs from a menu of on-line design options before adding their own greeting. From there, they simply click the appropriate icon to instruct us to make the donation on their behalf.
“We’re hoping to raise several thousand pounds through this initiative and I’m sure that wherever our donation goes, it will improve the circumstances and experiences of a good number of disabled or disadvantaged children in our region.
