Digital Print Firm Solves Short-Run Cards Crisis

February 19th, 2007 by everydayprint

By providing an instant solution to a pressing problem, digital print firm Everydayprint has helped greetings card design company, Jimmy Chocolate, to secure several pieces of new business from multiple retailers. Whilst the finished cards Jimmy Chocolate produces for its various clients are printed using the lithoprint process, when showcasing its various new designs, the Bollington, Cheshire UK) company uses the more cost effective digital process for short runs of samples.

However, having previously used the services of a Buckinghamshire-based digital printer, Jimmy Chocolate’s plans for the recent Spring Fair at Birmingham’s NEC were thrown in to disarray when the company was let down and had to source an alternative supplier which could offer similarly high standards of print quality and speed of delivery.

Jimmy Chocolate managing director, Steve Whitehouse, explained: ‘We found ourselves without a digital printer for between 25 and 30 of our short run samples and whilst it may seem like an easy thing to source, we have exacting standards where print is concerned.

If we don’t present our designs correctly, we won’t make the right impression when we pitch to our potential clients so it was vital that we found an alternative supplier who could promise excellent quality and just as importantly, a quick turn-around.’ Whitehouse’s search soon took him to Everydayprint, which being a few miles away in Poynton he quickly contacted to arrange a meeting.

He continued: ‘We initially met with Everydayprint managing director, Jason Walker, looked at some examples of the company’s work and were impressed with the standard.

Having now worked with the company on several projects, I’m delighted to say that on every level, it has either met or exceeded our expectations for both quality and service.

It seems ridiculous now that with such a top quality digital printer right on our doorstep, we used to farm our samples out to a company in the south and much as we were initially faced with a problem, the whole episode has proved to be a blessing in disguise.’ Walker commented: ‘At Everydayprint, we strive to deliver a high quality, reliable service.

Needless to say, I’m delighted that the various sample cards we supplied to Jimmy Chocolate have done the job and that the company had great success at Spring Fair, Birmingham.

I’m sure this will be the first of many more occasions on which we help the company to win new business.’
