If staff at Macclesfield print and business solutions specialist, Everydayprint, have a healthy glow about them these days, it’s probably got something to do with going to work.
Since the turn of the year, managing director, Jason Walker, has introduced a policy of having bowls of fruit placed in every area of the company’s new Lyme Green Business Park offices, with staff invited to take as many pieces as they like every day. He explains: “As with a number of our team, I’ve been trying to lead a healthier lifestyle after all the typical Christmas excesses.
“From walking or going to the gym to salsa dancing or playing rugby, everyone has their own thing. For my part, I’ve also been sticking to a better diet and part of that new regime has seen me eating more fruit.
“I brought a fruit bowl into my office and topped it up every day with apples, bananas, oranges and grapes. Soon people started taking the odd piece for themselves, so I had the idea of introducing fruit right across the office so everyone could help themselves and hopefully benefit from it in the longer term. That said, I never thought the idea would be so popular and we’re now taking delivery of two huge trays of fresh fruit a week.”
The company already looks after its staff by offering complimentary gym membership as well as supplying everybody with free flu jabs each winter and as Jason says, the overall approach has a more practical advantage as well: “It’s all about health and well-being and already we’ve noticed that people are brighter and have more of a spring in their step.
“Whether that’s just a mental thing or not, the office genuinely seems to be a healthier place these days and I firmly believe that if people feel good day for day it will only be good for business as well.”

And it’s even better than before!
Everydayprint has announced something of a coup by appointing former Sale Sharks flanker, John Carter, as a new sales and marketing executive.
